I grew up in the Charleston area and attended the College of Charleston where I earned a BA in Corporate Communications in 2000.
In June of 2000 I married the woman of my dreams … I know that seems cheesy but it is true. Over the past 11 years God has blessed us in many ways, especially with Ansley and Cade.
I have a strong burden for this community and for those who are hurting around us. Through serving others and meeting thier needs both physical and spiritual, I desire to bring glory and honor to God. As a part of Lighthouse Church I started a one day a month time of service to our community called Action Day. I believe that Christ followers should show the love of God in truth and in Action - 1 John 3:18. Natalie and I along with our team desire to see Lighthouse continue to develop into a body of believers that is passionate about the community and each other.
Natalie and I lead and host a Life Group that focuses on all areas of a families spiritual needs. Once a month the entire group gathers to worship, pray, study and socialize with each other – kids included. The following weeks I lead the men and Natalie leads the women in a time of prayer and guy/girl time. As a way to close out the month the group gathers in a social setting to reflect and invite others to be a part of the group.
I enjoy building relationships with people through work and recreation. I enjoy playing flag football, working out and most importantly spending time wrestling with Cade and doing “little girl” things with Ansley.

I am a Charleston native who grew up on James Island, survived Hurricane Hugo in a downtown hospital and loved the flooding so much that I spent four years at the College of Charleston drudging through the infamous flooded downtown streets of Charleston between classes!
I have worshiped God through several streams of the Christian faith as I grew up cutting communion bread (and fingers) and pouring incense so heavy that it could compete with the Holy of Holies as an altar boy in the Greek Orthodox Church. And yes, I can Greek dance! I’ve also worshiped within other denominations such as Anglican, Baptist, Assemblies of God and non-denominational as well. You could say that my buffet experience has given me a wonderful perspective on following Christ!
I spent countless hours between the lines playing baseball, football and basketball throughout high school and college and wanted to be a professional ball player. After an injury to my throwing arm I picked up the guitar and started singing and leading worship with FCA, Campus Crusade and wherever I had the opportunity. I formed a band with friends and pursued a calling to lead worship for the local church and other outlets.
I’ve spent the last twelve years leading college and young adult ministry, worship, life group ministry and preaching and teaching.
Along the way I met Tammy, the woman I would partner with in this life to love and serve, and we make a fabulous team! You’ll have to ask her about a very funny story of when we first met. We have added to our team our two wonderful boys Noah and Rutledge. Five more and we’ll have a ball club!
I enjoy all types of music. I could flip the channel from classical to R&B, beach music to rock and find something I enjoy along each step of the way. I enjoy performing in local theater and you can often catch me in a show.
Above all else I love Jesus Christ and I long to make Him known to others. I love Lighthouse church and the people that comprise its community. Great things are happening and even greater things are to come!

A native of the Lowcountry, Sharon grew up, went to school, and has worked in the greater Charleston area her entire life. She has spent most of her professional years in business administration/management and began serving as a volunteer in Lighthouse’s office in 2003. Sharon and her husband Keith joined Lighthouse in 2002 and are known throughout the church for their warmth and hospitality…their home is always open and something is always on the table! Sharon is very close to her family and appreciates them all living close by. Sharon accepted a staff position in 2003 and will always be one of the first faces you see when you visit Lighthouse.

We moved to Charleston in early 2008 from San Diego, California. We have both lived all over the world, but now think of Charleston as our permanent home.
We were married in August of 2003. Thirteen months to the day of saying “I do” God blessed us with our loving daughter, Alana. We have recently been graced with our newest addition, Sawyer, in January 2011.
We have a heart and passion for teenagers. A little over three years ago, God placed a desire in our hearts to take a leap of faith and start working with Lighthouse’s youth. Soon after, we took over as the middle school leaders. Then in February of 2010, we became the youth leaders for Lighthouse Church.
We have a strong desire to help teenagers fall in love with God and glorify Him with their lives (John 3:30). We encourage a relational community united on a mission for Christ.
We enjoy spending time with family and friends. We love to laugh and get goofy with the youth. We love the youth of Lighthouse like they are our kids!

I was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant and just recently graduated Wando High School with the class of 2011. As the youngest member on staff, I am so blessed and thankful to sit under and learn from such great men and women. I have a desire for youth of this city to not only know of God’s love in their head but also in the depths of their heart. I have a passion to be used by God to teach his word and be a good example for the youth in our church family.
Currently, I attend Trident Technical College where I plan to take 3 semesters of classes before transferring to Clemson University. I enjoy skateboarding, surfing, and wake-boarding. As long as some kind of board is under my feet, I am a happy camper.
