Jesus taught with extreme authority and precise clearness.  Over the next few months we will investigate many of these teachings that stirred the hearts of so many but yet made others angry.  As we look into these passages we will develop a better understanding of the life of Jesus and the life of a disciple.  I encourage you to take a look with us and read along in the gospel.  What a great way to begin the New Year by reading the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) as many times as you can.  Remember, it is not about just reading but applying what you are hearing from the Holy Spirit as you read.

This week we will continue to look into Matthew 5 as Jesus begins His ministry of teaching.  Our focus this week will be on Matthew 5:7.
